Please check back during the school year for updates.

The Youth Advisory Kouncil was formed in 2003 for the purpose of giving Columbia County area youth the chance to speak up on what is important to them.Youth are then able to give feedback to adult and government committees and boards. The Kouncil will review current laws and regulations throughout Columbia County and offer up their recommendations on changes.YAK members will also have an opportunity to plan a county-wide event for their peers.Last year the Kouncil raised money for a local charity by hosting a battle of the bands.YAK members are encouraged to represent their group as well as other youth in Columbia County by atttending the bimonthly Columbia County Connects meetings.
Youth can join the Youth Advisory Kouncil by calling Tim Belleau at 608/742-8814, #225, speaking with the school youth liaison or by completing and mailing in the Youth Advisory Kouncil Application which is linked below.
